Teddy's story
Teddy is the youngest son of Grand Champion Ardram Nagorny and Troika Firebird, a top winning combination for both looks and good nature. When I first met Teddy and his three sisters his amazing personality was what first struck me, and I fell in love with him there and then. The fact that he is also a very handsome young man is just a bonus.
Teddy is already a well-travelled gentleman, having been born in Hertfordshire, visited his first show in Wiltshire and then being taken to his new home in Glasgow, all on the same day. He was totally unfazed by the whole business and spent most of the day lolling in my arms purring away. He walked into the house as if he had always lived here (no careful introductions over a period of days for this boy - he was straight on in there), and was firm friends with Yzzy within hours of meeting her, so much so that I refer to them as Double Trouble!
I started with the fullest intention of giving him a more sensible pet name, but quite apart from the obvious reason for calling him Teddy (he's cute and cuddly like a teddy bear) he also has a little furry 'button' in one ear - like a Steiff teddy bear. More seriously, I very much hope that he will help make some beautiful Dushenka babies. For all he is a big boy, he is still very much a baby in other ways, and loves to lie back in your arms, gently grasp your hand with his velvety 'phat' paws, slowly drag it to his mouth and give your fingers an affectionate chew. That is usually followed up with a purringly insistent demand for tummy tickles, followed by some energetic games!
Many, many thanks to his breeder Clare Bandy of Troika Russian Blues for letting me have this adorable lad.
