Ziva's story

Ziva is from Yzzy's first litter - her father is the gorgeous Archie, who has a lovely 'old-fashioned' look to him, with a particularly gentle expression.  It was an easy decision to keep Ziva - quite apart from the fact that she was the only girl in the litter, she chose me very early on in life, and by the time she was three weeks old had mastered the art of totally distracting me by rolling on her back every time she saw me, revealing her soft little tummy just perfect for tickling.

'Zivabella' translates as 'splendid beauty' so I have given her a lot to live up to!  She was also named for a character from the US TV series NCIS, who is very beautiful and a trained killer and so far my Ziva is doing her best to live up to her namesake too.  She was one of the most adventurous/accident-prone kittens I have ever known, having fallen down the stairs, climbed up inside a chimney (wicked Tingie), walked through dark paint (Evil Zeevil), been stung by a wasp and caused various breakages - all before she was even five month old.  Heaven only knows what further trouble lies ahead for my lovely little girl.

Ziva has also inherited her mother's fantastic purr, and sweet way of nuzzling and kissing, known in my household as 'snoogling', so she is also known as the Snooglette - mum Yzzy is known as Mini Snoog, granddad Xander is Senior Snoogle, and great-grandmother Tasha is Snoogle-Mom (and I'm ever so slightly batty - I know...)!  Even better, her first litter of kittens are as sweet-natured and purrful as their mum.
