Both RACCS (the Russian and Abyssinian Cat Club of Scotland) and the RBBA (Russian Blue Breeders Association) run annual points competitions for members' cats winning the most over the year.  Despite the limitations of geography (there are a lot more shows in England than Scotland) Dushenka cats have picked up a good range of points awards over the years, much to my delight.

You can see photographs of some of these beautiful cats in the Gallery, and details of recent winners in News.

And not forgetting (as if we could) the cats who helped produce the Dushenka winners:

·  Champion Saphiriken Beau Bellis, 2 GCCs - also Best Russian Blue 1978 (British Cat World award)

·  Champion Kolokol Vera Fokina - mother of the first Dushenka champion

·  Champion & Premier Sorgenfri Trotsky - also RBBA top newcomer Russian Blue neuter 1990

·  Champion Astahazy Petra, 1 GCC - also RBBA top female Russian adult and top adolescent of 1986

·  Farodell Incy Spider, 1 CC & 1 PC

·  Champion Siykat Stella Dushenka, 1 GCC

·  Grand Champion Troika Ivan Tsarevich

My thanks to the breeders of these wonderful, loving cats for letting them share their lives with me.

Love and kisses to all my other stay-at-home kittens, every one of them champions in my heart.  And not so stay-at-home either, living as they do from London in the south, to Inverness-shire in the north and out on the Scottish Islands - not forgetting our overseas travellers in the USA and Europe.
